Low oil absorption, low electrical conductivity, good insulation. Good thermal stability.
Application:
The ceramic industry is the main application field of wollastonite ceramics, accounting for about 50% of the total consumption. It is mainly used to produce glazed tiles, art porcelain, sanitary porcelain, daily-use porcelain, power porcelain, high-frequency low-consumption radio porcelain and chemical ceramics, etc. . Wollastonite has high whiteness, even natural wollastonite lump ore purity and whiteness are mostly more than 90%. It can replace SiO₂ and CaO mixture in ceramic glaze, and it can burn a smooth, uniform, bright and clean glaze surface. The SiO₂ and CaO components in wollastonite ceramics provide low expansion rate and good thermal shock resistance, thus reducing the shrinkage of the blank during the firing process, stabilizing the firing process, basically no cracks, and reducing product thorns. And the fired ceramic has excellent properties of low expansion coefficient.
Adding an appropriate amount of wollastonite powder to the ceramic raw materials can greatly reduce the firing temperature, shorten the firing time, and achieve rapid firing at low temperature. It saves a lot of fuel and significantly reduces product costs; at the same time, it improves the mechanical properties of the product, reduces the cracks and warpage of the product, increases the glaze gloss, and improves the strength of the embryo body, thereby increasing the pass rate of the product.
